in this online class Gerhard will teach authentic Bauernmalerei techniques based upon traditional cabinet/chest patterns as well as Gerhard's own Bauernmalerei painting. 

With step by step instructions of the most important Bauernmalerei flowers, leaves as well brushstoke exercises and a simple method of an antiquing technique that will give you the fundamental tools to create some wonderful Bauernmalerei paintings. You also will finish two projects which will be painted on a wooden panel.

In our Bauernmalerei online classes Gerhard will teach you his painting style, which has been passed on in his family 

through generations of fine artists and folk artists.

I like to introduce you to a talented artist from South Africa, Lesley Cornwell. She is a self-taught artist and loves Bauernmalerei. What I like on her painting is that you can see and feel how cheerful and energetic her painting is, it flows very wonderfully. Also I think it is a very good example that Bauernmalerei style has it’s flair from the simplicity, a stylized representation of natures flowers.
